On the English for Beginners Course:

You can do 24 lessons a week (20 hours) or 28 lessons a week (23 hours and 20 minutes) to make faster progress.

General English courses are our Wimbledon’s school’s most popular courses. You can choose a General English course at every level from English for beginners to very advanced.

The General English language course helps you to improve all areas of your English language: grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading and writing.

It is available with 24 lessons per week for a Standard course or as an intensive course with 28 lessons per week.

On both the Standard and the Intensive general English courses, you will:

  • Learn ‘real’ English with latest course books and materials.
  • Learn and practice new language every day.
  • Work with other students in role-plays, pair work and group discussions.
  • Use new activities to improve your listening and reading.
  • Practise a variety of writing – emails, letters and reports.
  • Have regular tutorials with your teacher.
  • Get up to 2 hours of homework each evening.

On the intensive English course, you will also choose optional classes from:

  • Communication Skills,
  • Grammar and Writing,
  • IELTS Preparation
  • and many more.

Learn Spanish quickly with 20, 25 or 30 lessons for your Spanish course.

You will make rapid progress with this Spanish course with a focus on speaking and understanding.

All teachers are native Spanish speakers with training and experience in teaching Spanish to adults.

You can choose from a Spanish course with 20, 25 or 30 lessons a week or add a one-to-one course for faster progress.

You can learn Spanish in the morning and then get more Spanish practice with an activity taught in Spanish: surfing, stand-up paddle, kayaking or cooking.

If you want to discover Spain, travel around the country and take a Spanish course in different cities. Choose up to 7 cities.

Take a Spanish course in beautiful Palma de Mallorca – choose from Spanish for beginners to very advanced.

The intensive Spanish course helps students of all levels make good progress. Whether you choose Spanish for beginners or a more advanced course, the goal is the same: to improve your communication skills.

  • You will often work with the other students in pairs or small groups and you will use your Spanish in activities to improve your speaking and help you to understand spoken Spanish.
  • Your teachers will speak Spanish, which is sometimes a little daunting when you are not used to it, but students of all ages quickly adapt and enjoy using their Spanish.
  • The course covers all Spanish skills: reading, speaking, listening and writing.

The courses consist of 4 hours tuition per day, from Monday to Friday. Classes normally take place from 09.30 to 13.30, with a twenty-minute break for coffee taken halfway through the morning.

This Spanish course is taken by about 90% of adult students.

It’s the course for everyone who wants to learn or improve their Spanish, whether you’re a beginner or have quite an advanced level.

The lessons will help you develop all your skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, but there is particular emphasis on speaking and communication.

Requirements for the IELTS exam preparation course:
