International Language Testing System IELTS

The IELTS is designed to test the language ability of those students who want to study in an English-speaking country. It is managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. It covers the four language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on the results of the Academic test.
It is recognised by higher education institutes in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.

This examination is for you if you wish to study in a university in an English speaking country (see above).

Test of English as a Foreign Language

The TOEFL is used to test the English proficiency of students who wish to study at colleges and universities in the United States or Canada. It is also used by institutions in other countries where English is the language of instruction.

It is also used by certain US government agencies and scholarship programmes to evaluate English proficiency.

This test is for you if you wish to study in a university in the United States.
