The City
Bordeaux is well known as France’s wine capitol, but it is also a great historical city, a lively regional capital and a university town with 90,000 students every year. A very varied cultural programme, lively nightlife and superb architecture make the city a favourite destination for French and foreign visitors alike.
The city has been officially included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites since 2007. This distinction recognises the beauty and unity of the style of Bordeaux's architectural heritage. The Bordeaux World Heritage site is the largest urban entity to be honoured. It covers 1,810 hectares, or half of the city, from the outer boulevards to the banks of the Garonne.

The School
The school is housed in a spacious 19th century building in the heart of Bordeaux. There are 12 bright, air-conditioned classrooms, a self study room and lounge opening out on to a sheltered garden.
It has been awarded the FLE quality label showing that it meets the French Government’s high language quality standards.
The goal of the lessons is to develop language skills in communicative contexts. Teachers use French as a foreign language teaching methods for adults that are interactive and based on real communication. Many of the lessons use authentic materials in order to extend your knowledge of French life. The programmes are structured, but sufficiently flexible to enable you to progress at your own speed and according to your own needs.
All teachers are qualified to teach French to foreign learners and have an excellent knowledge of French culture and civilisation. Many of them have taught French abroad and speak several languages. Their enthusiasm and spontaneity guarantee lively and effective lessons.

The school arranges a wide range of activities to suite all tastes. These activities are the ideal opportunity to widen your knowledge of the French language, culture and history.

The accommodation officer pays careful attention when selecting host families and spends a great deal of time matching the student to the right family. The school has host families of all ages and social backgrounds, but they are all known for their hospitality and friendliness.
Families may host more than one student and great care is taken to ensure that, whenever possible, the students will not be the same nationality.
